PC Build help

Budget (including currency): 7,300 NIS [2,194$]

Country: Israel currently

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Digital Combat Simulator (VR), Squad, Ready or Not, Ground Branch, and other "heavy" tactical shooters.

Other details: I'd usually play around 75-90Hz, I am upgrading my current PC which has a GTX 1050TI with an I5-6400, and 2x8Gb, 3200Mhz.

As this is my first "official" complete PC build, I want to make sure it'll fit my needs for now and for the future, I have checked around and saw which parts the store I will buy from are the best for the price and I think I'm close.

The only thing I'm worried about is the GPU not fitting in the case.

New rig:
CPU: Intel Core i5 12500 3.0GHz
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer i35 CO

Motherboard: ASUS Prime B660M-A D4

RAM: Kingston FURY BEAST 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz

GPU: Either Asus TUF Gaming RTX 3070 Ti OC 8GB or Asus TUF Gaming RTX 3070 V2 OC 8GB

SSD: MSI SPATIUM M370 1TB NVMe M.2

PSU: Antec VALUE POWER Active PFC 12cm 650W 80+

Case: Antec Dark Fleet DF600 FLUX ATX Tower

TOTAL: 2193.58 USD

I'm open for suggestion, I am somewhat worried it won't be compatible with each other but that's just how I am.

EDIT:

I thought about getting the Intel Core i5 12600K 3.7Ghz and dropping the RAM as I can use the 2x8 from my old PC and upgrade later, thoughts?

Your parts all seem to be compatible. Maybe the only thing is that your cpu cooler might not come with the LGA1700 bracket but usually they send free mounting hardware for newer sockets. I think your build looks good. You should probably get a 850 watt psu instead of a 650 because that would be cutting it really close. I'd definitely choose the 3070ti over the 3070 mainly because of the updated memory on the ti models.

I would advise against getting the 12600k. First of all you would need a z690 board to get the unlocked version of the cpu which I wouldn't recommend. Secondly the 12600k is in a weird situation. For not that much more you could get a 12700f which is a better cpu and for your case the 12500 isn't that much more for way less than the 12600k. As for the ram, as long as it's not ddr3 or something like that then It would be a good idea to transfer it

If that's the case, I'll stick to the 12500 as they are out of 12700s

No 12400/F ?

That board is a bit meh. Any other options from MSI or Gigabyte i.e MSI PRO B660-A (ATX ot mATX) or Gigabyte B660 Gaming X (ATX or mATX) ? The better Asus B660 boards are the TUF Gaming variants.

I would look for a different psu as that one is not good.

Why should I choose the 12400F over the 12500?

It should be cheaper, and the performance is going to be pretty similar. Also take into account my other two points regarding the motherboard and psu.

Is it possible to keep the 12500 and stay with the motherboard and PSU?

You might get away with the motherboard, but I wouldn't put that psu with an i5 and RTX 3070/ti. I would want something from at least Tier B in the psu tier guide.

Let's say I'll replace the motherboard with an MSI PRO B660M-E DDR4 LGA1700 and change the PSU to an Antec CUPRUM STRIKE CSK 650W 80 Plus Bronze, would it be a better choice?

You want the B660-A or B660M-A. The B660M-E is not good.

That psu is still bad. It is on Tier D. Look at the psu tier list below and try and get something on Tier A or B if you can. Even Tier C would be better than that Antec.

After looking at my budget finding parts in the store, I kinda have to go with the ASUS Prime B660M-A D4 and the Antec NeoECO Gold Modular 650W 80 Plus Gold ( was in the B tier I think)

I will probably upgrade in the future but I want to know if it will work as for now.
