No it would not. I would go for an extra 120 mm rad with that at a minimum.

Read the Stickies at the top of the forum section to be able to decide on your own parts. Give us your list and we can let you know how to improve it. ;)

Also get a 2 picture of your case and draw out your loop in paint. It helps us visualize what you want.

It would be okay, temps would be a little higher than other peoples temps though. If you're aiming for overclocks then I think you're pushing it. If you're limited and just want quietness then you should be ok. What case are you putting this in?

Im am currently using a corsair 650 d.

The components I currently have are:

Corsair 650d

I7 3770k

Zotac refrence gtx 670

Intel DZ77GA-70K motherboard

And 16gb of ripjaw Sniper memory.

Plus I got a Swiftech Apogee hd for free which I am going to use.

Let me know if you need any more of my components.

I am thinking of using a bay res/pump. Im not sure if this is a bad idea or not I dont know a whole lot about water cooling.

Oh all what you have to do is find a picture of your case. ( I already found yours: http://www.corsair.com/en/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/6/5/650d_d.pn ) Then open it in paint or some program and draw colors for radiators, reservoirs, and blocks. In the end you get something like this.

 2N7L5.jpg

This is a 900D so its the idea that is the same you won't be able to fit a 480mm rad into a 650D without heavy modding and I'm not even sure then it'll fit.

woooopsies. Uhh you can upload it to a website like Imageshack, I personally use puush to take pictures of them and then use the link or use the image function which is in the same bar with Bold,Italics, etc. it's the picture of a tree. Or you can upload it by clicking " My Media ". All of those should work.

Ok here http://www.flickr.com/photos/95664397@N08/8722402414/in/photostream

This is how I think I would run it assuming I use a bay drive pump combo. But as I said I don't know

a whole lot about watercooling so input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I set that up assuming im using a bay mounted res pump combo. Not sure if those are bad. If not which ones would you recommend? Also I would really appreciate other recommendations for various components.

Thanks.

They are good.

I think this is what im going to start with. Il watercool the gpu at some point in the future but for now I guess Il just do the Cpu.

Here are the parts im looking at right now let me know if you have any other recommendations:

Tubing:

Pump/res:

Rad:

240 not sure what brand or model yet help would be appreicated.

Cpu block:

Swiftech apogee hd.

Just not those XSPC ones. They have been known to warp and leak. The clear acrylic ones from them do not have these issues.

So would this be a better option?

And what would you recommend for a 240mm rad? Im looking for the best cost to performance ratio.

Thanks.

Tubing is good quality.

Use a laing pump for the loop. They are much more reliable.

No brand of rad is better than any other, Just  look for features you like.

I personally dislike that cpu block but there is nothing wrong with it. I just prefer the look of XSPC and EK cpu blocks.

Are there any cheapers pump options? Laing pumps are pretty expensive and my budget isn't huge. Would the stock pump be fine in least until I et more funds?

My advice is get a laing pump. Buying a cheap pump is not a good move. If your pump dies and it has no pwm connector for the motherboard to know it died. Then you can easily damage everything the loop is cooling.

I concur..Use a Laing pump..The D5 Vario is a great pump..and it will not need to be replaced when you expand your loop. A 240mm is a poor choice for a CPU and GPU loop. A 45 to 60 mm thick 360mm rad would be a better choice. If you check out XSPC Raystorm CPU block , you will see that it gives the best "bang for the buck". http://www.xtremerigs.net/reviews/water-cooling/2012-cpu-water-block-roundup/

Unfortunately the 650d does not have enough room for a 360 rad. I might be able to fit a 280 rad though. Also If I started with a 240 for just my cpu and then added a 120mm later would a 240 and 120 be enough for the gpu and cpu?
