Hi,

i just noticed that one of two fans on my cpu cooler doesnt seem to work anymore. I tried switching between cpu primary and cpu opt fan headers, and the problem remained on the cpu primary header. With the cpu opt header both fans work.

I also tried resetting the bios, did not help with this problem.

Might this be a setting issue or is the header dead?

Im kinda lost on this one...

Thanks in advance for your input!

Hardware:

Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4

CPU Cooler Noctua U12-A

I7 12700k

Rtx 3080

32 GB DDR4 Ram

Tried that now, sadly it still does not run... So i guess some 4pin extension cables and using other headers is the solution

Yes, that sounds like the immediate fix. This could be a bios problem that can be solved with an update. But since it started without changing bios version, I doubt it. Doing a RMA for the motherboard would be the proper solution. But, depending on where you live, that can be a real pita.
