Wait....Is that the standard version of the 290 with the blower fan? If so I'd recommend you get the asus, msi version.

Thoughts:

-don't get a reference R9 290 unless you're planning a custom loop in the very near future.

-If you plan to overclock, get a h80i or h100i, not an H60. For non-OCing the H60 is fine.

-You should probably be looking at a PSU in the range of 550-650W, depending on if you're overclocking or not.

Yeah that's what the sticky is for, right? :P

I am probably buying this on Alternate.

I'm not planning on overclocking too much, just a little bit.

Get non-reference R9 290

PSU of at least 550W

If you do want to overclock get a Z87 board

2TB HDD, 1TB might not be enough for 3D work, my steam library alone takes up 400GB

Not a necessity but 16GB would be optimal for 3D work, 8 will be fine though

- i7-2600k @ 4.7GHz - MSI 1070 8GB Gaming X - ASUS Maximus V Formula AC3 Edition - 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws @ 1600Mhz - Corsair RM1000 - 1TB 7200RPM Seagate HDD + 2TB 7200 HDD + 2x240GB M500 RAID 0 - Corsair 750D - Samsung PX2370 & ASUS ROG SWIFT -

The Photoshop and C4D are just a hobby, and I do want to overclock, just not too extreme overclocking. I'll think about the more memory

I'll probably go with the cheaper one, because you didn't calculate a 2nd monitor in your build. Thanks for your help :)
