so im thinking on a new pc but still undecided as i really dont need it but want it kinda think. i like water cooling and i like many blocks and fittings (im weird...) so there will be an added cost for blocks. just a warning.

so because i like water blocks the only new mb i can find that uses a chipset block is the

$87 water block : EK-Quantum Momentum Chipset Aorus X570 - Plexi

- Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite
- Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra
- Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master

link 1, link 2

looks like i can get a used Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite for $160

$270ish water block: EKWB EK-Quantum Momentum Aorus X570 Elite Monoblock, D-RGB, Plexi

link1, link 2

the mono block looks to be around $270ish ya its steep..

cpu im looking at a AMD Ryzen 5 5500 Hexa-Core 3.6GHz AM4 looks like its $212 pickup or $227 deliverer i was looking at the Ryzen 5 2600X for $235 but if the 5500 is better and cheaper why not🤔

link 1, link 2

ram well i cant seem to find much water cooled ram so i found this

Thermaltake TOUGHRAM RC DDR4 4400MHz for $226 i no amd like hi MHz ram and i think the new intel stuff dose too and its be for kinda futrcher proofing im thinking 🤔

gpu i wanted a rtx 3080 or rt 6800 or some were in there but i like the ative back plate witch look to be fore the 3080 and 3090? but i dont no yet. i no having all the chips on one side just seem better it sounds and well cheaper haha...

I mean custom cooling is deader than dead you gotta really just wanna do it, like a really expensive disney world ticket if it'll really bring you that much joy.

Otherwise there's no point.  Also, the non-ti RTX3000 cards are dead with the pricing on the ti cards and the RX6000 cards being where it is.

You could just waterblock the side with the radiator and put some heatsinks on the other side if you have really good airflow, thermal pads SHOULD hold them in place, but I still wouldn;t recommend it.  At that rate you could just use a combination of thermal pads, and a water block, as the backplate should be held on by the mounting points on the water block that run past the gpu die.

But in all honesty it may be time to just let custom water cooling be resigned to the annexes of history.  I can't say much as I still am clinging to a manual car, even though I know it'll be my last (hopefully I wont need a car in another decade, or can at least go electric once I move to my next work assignment).

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

well if i didn't have a really big water cooling case and all the parts already ied probably just go air cooling with probably a ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition... but this is the case i got...

i no water cooling is over kill but i just like it...
