Hello, I am trying to figure out what would be the best choice to upgrade my PC.

I have around a 150€ budget for either RAM or CPU upgrade.
Specs:

MB:   Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P                                           Manual (https://download1.gigabyte.com/Files/Manual/mb_manual_ga-970a-ud3p_v.2.x_e.pdf)
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz

RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3-667MHz Vengeance LP

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper H410R  (Big but not going in the way of 2. and 4. RAM slot)

Have in mind I am not good in building computers or checking hardware, so any tip would be nice.

There isn't a good way to upgrade that CPU without upgrading RAM, which would also need a new motherboard. I would save up a little bit longer and get a much more modern platform.

You could play around on eBay and find something like this, but the 12100 will do circles around anything on DDR3.

Edit: Here's a ebay Germany link to a 3770k.

This one would need a CPU Cooler, but would be better than the 3770k.

With a Hyper 212 EVO, this would get you to DDR4, and a faster CPU under your budget.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Thanks for the advice, and fast answer. It's as expected, I thought my motherbord isn't really upgrade friendly especially since its really old and has AM3+ socket.

It's not upgrade friendly, and getting off DDR3 would be a huge help. Are you comfortable with second hand parts? What country are you in? There might be some better deals buried in the depths of eBay. With what I found in a quick look before I'd either go for the 12100 new, if you can save up a bit longer. That'd be the "best" upgrade around that price. If you wanted to upgrade now and in that budget, the 6700k combo and Hyper 212 would still be a massive improvement over your current CPU and RAM.

Yea I am fine with second hand stuff, but since I live in Serbia, its kinda hard to get those stuff from ebay or Amazon, I am not even sure if they ship it to Serbia... I will just probablly go for the DDR4 upgrade for now, until my computer gets sloppy and then i will just go for the new one, since i am not in a hurry. Just not sure if my motherboard supports DDR4?
