Hey all, the Chromebook I've been using when I travel is no longer being supported, so I'm looking for some affordable replacements as thin and light as possible. Right now I'm thinking along the lines of a refurbished MacBook Air. If neccesarry I can even put Linux on it. I don't need anything too hard driving -- Google Docs, YouTube, Libre Office, Slack, Zoom and maybe Crusader Kings II are probably the limits of my needs. I don't even care about battery life that much. What I do care about is having something as lightweight as possible.

Thanks in advance!

find the oldest HP elitebook 850/840 that still looks decent (depending if you want 14 or 15 inch, or depending on what's available locally, some regions seem to prefer one over the other)

and calculate in the price for a new battery, which.. new batteries for these should still be fairly available, and replacing them is trivial.
