Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me overclock my RAM to 3600MHz and processor to 4.2 GHz. I listed my computer specs below.

Also, is it safe to turn on NVIDIA GeForce auto tuning?
My current GPU temperature is about 54 degrees on idle and 85-86 degrees while playing AAA games.
My CPU temperature is stable at 45 degrees on idle and about 76 degrees while gaming AAA games.

Processor: Ryzen 7 3800x

Ram: Kingston Hyper X fury ddr4 RGB 4 sticks of 8 GB (3200MHz)

Motherboard: Gibabyte Aorus Elite
GPU: INNO3D RTX 3060
Cooler: ID Cooling Aura flow X360

PSU: Dark Flash GS 650 650W (Bronze certified)

Don't OC your CPU like that. You should instead look into "PBO". Essentially, with Ryzen, the best way to get the more performance out of the chips is to remove power and thermal limits while reducing the voltage, which allows the CPU to clock itself higher. As an example, with my 5600G I have PBO set to "Advanced" with the sub-settings set to "auto" or "motherboard" and an all-core negative offset of 25. This provides a significant performance boost, and was relatively easy to setup.

RAM overclocking can be a very involved process. Here is a basic outline of that process to get you started.

  • Make a memtest86 bootable USB.
  • Test your RAM at it's standard XMP settings.
  • Increase the speed without touching voltage or timings in small increments and test between each step.
  • When you start getting errors in memtest86, try increasing the DRAM voltage by small steps until you get stability, or until you reach 1.5V, whichever comes first.
    • If 1.5V isn't stable at the speed/timings combo, try increasing your timings until you can pass memtest86.
  • Keep going until you find the best combo of speed/timings that your system can achieve.
  • Use HCI memtest, Linpack, and/or Prime95 to test for stability.
