Hello all,

I working on completing a new set up I am hoping will accommodate several devices. I am hoping to use multiple devices on dual monitors (with some exception), although realistically I would only ever use one device at once.

I have: PC (intel i7), 2x laptops (personal - 2015 MB Pro, work - Dell Latitude 5300 2 in 1) and a console (PS4 hopefully PS5 someday). 2 monitors are LG 27GN800 and LG 27GP850.

I would like to be able to share my peripherals (4x USB type A, 1x audio (speakers)) between my PC and whichever laptop I have plugged in at the time. I am also hoping I will be able to simply exchange which laptop is plugged in for ease of transition at the conclusion of the work day. I use the PC for only gaming. Of course I would also like to minimize the # of cables/dongles used, but am happy to get anything deemed necessary.

I have entertained the idea of a KVM switch, but haven't really found a good one for this purpose. I have also thought about simply buying a docking station and plugging all my peripherals into it, and simply exchanging the device that is plugged into it (could be either laptop or the PC). I am planning on simply leaving the console plugged into one of the HDMI ports on my main monitor at all times, and switching inputs on the monitor when I would like to use it.

Open to all questions, comments, and feedback. Thanks in advance :)
