I'm building a Windows XP gaming machine for some games that will never run on Windows 10. I figured might as well and have a nice look piece for guests. So I have 2 parts that I need to know Windows XP will support. One is a Celeron core 2 duo and the other is a GT 730 2GB. Should I look for a different set of processors or will XP use these?

c2d is a good target, c2q would probably be ideal.

as for the gpu.. the issue isnt so much what cards windows XP supports, but what cards the games support. back then a lot of games just literally had a builtin list of cards to recognise, and use different configurations accordingly. for example with the sims 2, if your GPU isnt on the list you're stuck at 640x480 with the bare minimum graphics settings.
