Hello all,

I'm planning to build my first computer in a couple weeks. I've put together a complete parts list and I'm looking for some general feedback on it. My budget is ~$2000 CAD. I'm located in Canada. I'm going to be using this computer primarily for gaming. I enjoy a large variety of games, mainly single-player (I don't play any sort of competitive games). I also intend to use the PC for programming, virtual machines, photo editing, etc; though that is not the focus. As you can tell from the parts list, I'm targeting 1440p gaming. My peripherals are already purchased. One thing to note: I primarily use Linux, that is main motivation for going AMD over Nvidia.

Thanks for the help!

maybe go for a 750w and some extra storage. Definitly a 750w to be safe (and for upgradeability). I would get a 256 or 500 gig drive for booting into windows, because it is generally better to have windows on a seperate drive.

Specs: 11700 | RTX 3060 | 32gb 3200mhz | 1tb 970 + 2TB HDD | Lian Li O11D Mini X Black

I'm 15 and live in the US

1TB will probably give you issues down the road sooner than you think. Might be worth getting a 2TB drive from a brand other than Samsung to save money ei. Crucial/Kingston. Rest looks fine to me, as @cat milker said, 750 watts would give you more room to work with but it's not a priority in my opinion. I have some minor concerns for high frame rate 1440p gaming with a 6700xt running Linux.

Could you go into a bit more detail on your "minor concerns"? I was planning to just go with 1TB for now, as storage is easy to upgrade later. However, if you think it's wise, I'll take a look at higher capacity drives.

Would you recommend the 750w version of the power supply I have on the parts list, or a different brand/model?
