My 2020 Dell G5 (specs are a Core i7 9700 and an RTX 2060) has been acting up kind of weird lately. Alienware command center can only be opened once, after it was closed by me and I try to start it up again, it doesn't work. Until I reboot the PC, it doesn't work. And it seems to crash in a way where even the fans aren't controlled anymore. I have a custom profile where both the CPU and the case fan only spin up if the CPU is above 70°C. But now I am playing some MC with shaders and my CPU thermal throttles at 60 watts with my case fan still completely stopped and my CPU fan at minimum. Just to clarify: My cooler can easily have the CPU hold 135 watts with cinebench and around 140 in prime95. How can I fix this? Would uninstalling Alienware command center (and not installing it again) and using something like FanControl for fan control help?
