So im planning on getting my first cystom build and im pulling my hair out at the choice between my graphics card and cpu. I plan too play at 1080p but heres my question. Im going too get the gigabyte gtx 770oc but wich cpu would get the most performance from this card? Call it reducing the bottlenecking. Would it be the i5 4670k or an i7 k series of a similar price range?

Just go with the i5.

At core per core performance, it's pretty much on par with the i7. i7 has hyperthreading which most games don't utilize.

You'll be fine with any Sandy bridge i5 and up or a 6300 and up depending on the game.
