Where and how can I improve both systems? I have 1000ish for both PCs.

 

 

about hers RTX2060, we already have the money to buy her a new GPU, just waiting for the 40 series so the 30 series prices get lower.

Switch the gpu's and psu's around. The 2060 6gb will do far better for you with it's cuda acceleration and the 6700xt is a far better gaming card. A cx650 should power a 6700xt but if you want to play it safe you can swap that around.

That's an awesome idea. But wouldnt be better to buy a new GPU (like a RTX3080 TI) for me and give her my RX 6700 XT? 

 

However, I dont know if my 6700 XT would fit her case. Photos attached (mine is the black one, and hers its the white one)

 

Small correction: its a CX550, not a CX650 as I thought.

Just measure it not really a point in taking a photo here? Also the psu is entirely different from what you described in the post. Thats a CX550F. That won't run a 6700xt.

 

You could get a 3080ti but for video editing I really do not see a single point for that at all. The 2060 would already be faster than a 6700xt for it but getting an even better card is going to go into the realm of diminishing returns.

 

So basically get her a good new psu and give her the 6700XT. You'll see a noticeable performance boost or worst case identical performance since most of video editing is still pure cpu power.

Will buy her a CX750, just found a white one. And a RTX3080 TI for me.
