[SOLVED] KeyPassXC database corrupted

Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

The backup is one you'd have made yourself as you always should for anything remotely important...

[SOLVED]

Hey,

I store my passwords on KeyPassXC and when updating the app from 2.6.6 Win 64 to 2.7.1 Win64, my passwords database cannot be opened and it says corrupted. I've tried using the old 2.6.6 to open it, but without success.

What has happened and how can I get my passwords back?

This has never happened before in any other update, the drive has always been ejected properly to ensure integrity, and the database has not been touched.

There are people in the internet saying to look for a backup?

I have no idea what this backup is, at least I do not remember enabling it.

Hey don't worry, I solved it, used the wrong password as I encrypt my drive using that I store the password database and everything on. Used the drive password instead of the database password, freaked out a lot there, but damn, thanks for the heads up on clarifying the backup thing, but damn, my heart's been racing.
