Good paint for case modding?

I was just wondering what is some good smooth and clean paint that would generally retain the texture of my case. Especially the front of the Fractal R4

The good paints tend to be acrylic automotive ones that require an air compressor and a cupgun. The only other option are the spray cans. Its really easy to tell the difference by looking.

If you don't have a cupgun/aircompressor you could all ways pay someone to powder coat your machine.

I'd try Tremclad/rustoleum, Krylon or Duplicolour.. Ducplicolour is a bit more expensive for a smaller can, but its automotive paint.. I'm not too sure myself, but those are the 3 big brands I think about when I think of spray painting..

Thanks guys. I was thinking that I should use automotive paint as well. I will give those a try!

i use the SEM black trim paint for a close sheen match on my Arc Midi.

the texture really can't  be duplicated other than powder-coating or

paint mixing. because the P-Coating FD uses 30-35μm which gives the

orange peel texture and uses low baking temps so not to warp the thin

steel.
