one is a SODIMM kit for laptops

and the other is a desktop kit.

So, I would buy the one that would fit in whichever you are shopping for.

Pretty much any RAM kit is a good RAM kit.

Capacity, Speed, latency. 

higher speed and capacity is better

lower latency is better.

All those equal, there is no reason one kit would be better than the other.
