G-sync option not showing up

E_D

Hey

So I bought this mini dp adapter for my gpu to let me use g-sync on my monitor, it works fine but there's no option to enable g-sync. I know it worked in the past as I used to have a gtx 1080 that I used with this monitor and was able to enable g-sync. I now have a gtx 970 which means that I can only use dp for g sync, which is why I bought the adapter (as my specific gpu only has mini dp) however it won't show up in the nvidia control panel, if anyone knows a solution please lmk, specs are below.

Monitor: Acer VG271U

Gpu: Gtx 970 PNY

(am on win 10 with latest gpu drivers)

P.s. the monitor doesn't show up with the nvidia logo on it in the control panel, not sure if it is supposed to tho

Gsync on Freesync is not available on 900 series cards. Requires 10 series or newer.
