Bricked GPU

I have the HIS 6950. I used the HIS 6970 bios to flash the 6950 and now the gpu is bricked. The gpu comes on and works but it is not detected and reconized. I also have the original bios.

 

Can anyone help me please?

How did u do it man, i get various errors and i am now selling it as bricked lol. I am so fustrated would like to get it working again. My card won't detect and i get some adapter error.

Did you try using the bios switch? I used this guide as it was more specific in regards to the 6950.

Try the instructions listed on post #5 by "draven501." For his step 7 "1.atiflash.exe -f -p 0 bios.rom -scansii" it should be "atiflash.exe -f -p 0 bios.rom -scansii"

Do you have a dual bios switch on the card like this:

If you do you could switch to the working bios and boot your system up and when you are ready for flashing just switch the bios switch to the broken bios and flash it.

The only solution i found was to short out the bios using a wire which i don't want to risk since i just built a new rig and don't want any other components to go tits up. I might just get the 780 ti if nothing else works, but if you do know another solution please tell.

Then you're going to have to get a new card

The only solution i found was to short out the bios using a wire which i don't want to risk since i just built a new rig and don't want any other components to go tits up. If you have integrated graphics you might be able to boot into your os using integrated graphics and flash it.
