Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

I will be only upgrading the motherboard, CPU and add a new NVMe SSD for new OS windows 11.

 

Currently running a i7 6700K (4.5Ghz) with RTX 2070 Super.

 

What are your thoughts about this motherboard:

ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4

 

I want to run it with a i7 12700K

Overpriced, z690 aero g has similar i/o for less

 

Also dont bother with any overclocking claims as cpu overclocking has been dead since 9th gen, just focus on i/o only as most boards have adequate power delivery for a 12900k
