Budget (including currency): £250

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: First test bench setup, based around 2nd gen intel (sandy bridge) as parts are cheap and it looks like you get a good amount of OC headroom to play about with. Solely for pushing OC on older intel chips for giggles. This will be my 4th system so its firmly in the "because I can" camp.

Other details My idea for this came from building up a mega cheap media system in an old SG13 I had lying around. I got a core i3 2120, foxconn h61 mobo and ram etc. off a mate for peanuts but now after a bit of research into the old sandy bridge days (I've been AMD since 2003) I fancy messing around with an h68 mobo and a 2600k/2700k. I have bits like fans, coolers, ddr3 sticks, etc. in the cupboard so I really need input on the best mobo and maybe psu wattage recommendations?

I might build the test bench frame from alu/wood so it's really a case of suggestions or advice on mobo at the min, I'll be sourcing off ebay here in the UK.

I'm currently taken with the asus p8z68-v board as I quite like the retro blue anodised aesthetics. Doesn't seem to be a lot of choice but any suggestions welcome!
