TV

Hello! Not really building a home theater, just looking for a TV for my summer house. After days of looking through the internet, I finally found a TV that fits my requirements:

  • At least 4K quality
  • 55''-75''
  • Google TV built-in

The TV that I found was TCL 6-Series 55'' with Google TV, but after looking through the reviews of the TV, I found basically the same TV - TCL 5-Series 55'' with Google TV built-in. After looking at comparisons, I can't seem to find the difference. Which TV should I buy? What are other TV recommendations? (max. 1000$)

According to rtings.com, The 6 series is brighter overall and has better build quality, while the 5 series has a better contrast ratio and black uniformity. Seeing as you are putting this in your summer house, you probably want a brighter tv to fight glare in which case the 6 series is better

Hello! I am looking to buy a brand-new TCL 65R646 (TCL 65" 6-series with Google TV) TV for my summer house. The BestBuy website for me is down, so I could't find it, but I did recently on Amazon Canada https://www.amazon.ca/TCL-Class-Mini-LED-Vision-Google/dp/B099P2PV22?th=1 (note - I don't live in Canada). The TV has free shipping to the US. I was happy with my finding, but I saw something strange. The model was named 65R646-CA. I understood that meant Canada.

Is there something different about the Canada model? Should I buy it?

What are other great TVs for this price? Let me know.

P.S. My requirements for a TV are:

  • 55"-65" screen
  • 4K
  • with Google TV
  • max. 1500$
  • QLED or OLED

Thanks in advance!
