This is extremely dangerous. If it's not grounded, it could electrocute you, because it can and will use YOU as the ground. Electricity follows the path of least resistance.

Potentially, yes, but I'd be more concerned about an ungrounded electrical system's ability to kill you.

What do you mean? 

You know if you build your system place it on a glas table it is not grounded as well. 

And I wouldn't worry about it
