but do you think that it will work? (for the sound card)

Yes, absolutely.

Hello there

Ive recently built my first computer

and I forgot to add a sound card that I want

can someone tell me how the Wattage calculation work

to put it simply

I have those parts

GIGABYTE X570S AORUS MASTER AM4 AMD X570

NZXT Kraken Z Series Z73 360mm - RL-KRZ73-01

G.SKILL Trident RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM
DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0

SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

WD ssd

Nvidia RTX 3070

and I want to to add Creative Sound Blaster AE-9 Sound Card (System requirements: “…Available PCI Express Power
Connector for Audio Control Unit
PC Power Supply Unit must be
80Plus Bronze Certified with
minimum 500 Watt power output
and 2 x 6 Pin PCI Express power
connector.”)

it is all fine or I have to upgrade my PSU?

thanks in advance.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my PSU It is an Asus ROG-STRIX 750W GOLD ROG-STRIX-750G

and how can I calculated that?

Is it like
W+X+Y=Z?

or I’m missing something?

Nobody can answer this question without knowing the brand and model of your current PSU.

Oh I forgot to put my PSU?

sorry

it is an Asus ROG-STRIX 750W GOLD ROG-STRIX-750G

For your components, that's quite slim. I'd rather go for a 750 watt unit like the Corsair RM series. I heard that they're quite good

Yea I have an 750w PSU but will it hold everything together?

It's on the edge and the ROG Strix is not the best PSU. Besides that, it only has 2 daisy chained PCI-e cables and you need both for the GPU so there's non left for the sound card.

Because my PSU it’s modular are they cross compatible with other brands?

Ah, you're lazy and don't want to replace the cables. It's takes only 15 minutes of your time and you save probably €/$50. When was the last time you've been paid €/$50 for 15 minutes of labour?
