Sounds like you actually want an old design with that many HDDs which makes you an ideal  buyer for the ultra low end case makers like DIY  that buy old tooling from other manufacturers.  There’s probably something perfect in the $40 range.  Thing will be ugly but you might not care. There are a few companies like that.  DIY is only one.  Such cases tend to have sharp metal so be caereful not to cut yourself when you assemble it.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

just make sure you ziptie some fans to those drives so they get some sort of airflow over them , i imagine if you have 6 drives in a low end machine the case might be cheap but the drive won't be so make sure they stay cool
