Bios password help

no but he should find a jumper that says Clear/reset_pw or reset_password or something like that. 

 

hard to say realy without knowing anything about his system but an internal picture. 

 

and from a standard bios several vendors use. 

 

actually.. bios tells what it is.. 

 

 

on the top right corner of the picture you find two pins.. named CLRTC  

 

To erase the RTC RAM:

1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.

2. Use a metal object such as a screwdriver to short the two pins.

3. Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer.

4. Hold down the key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to reenter data

Hey, 

 

I've been given a pc from work that was destined for recycling. 

 

They removed the harddrive to be shredded for security reasons but I got the rest of the system, I just had to buy my own SSD.

 

When I try to boot it up it's looking for a bios password, our IT department are out until next Monday and I was really hoping to get it set up over the long weekend. Is there any way around this?

 

There's no OS installed yet but I have windows 10 ready to install from a usb stick. System details in the pic below.

 

I'd really appreciate any help
