i just downloaded pop os on my new pc but my resolution is stuck at 1028 x 763 (4:3) i downloaded the nvidia version of the iso because i am currently using a gtx 460 i tried updating my driver via the pop shop but i just get the following error "Error while installing package: installed nvidia-dkms-390 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 10" any help would be appreciated

Might be to do with it being a dkms driver, and how new the kernel is you're probably using. 

Try installing nvidia-driver-390 instead. If you have terminal, the command is sudo apt install nvidia-driver-390 -y

If that still fails, try installing nvidia-384. in terminal the command is sudo apt install nvidia-384 -y

i don't know what version of the kernel i am using but it is a fresh install of the latest iso from the pop os website wheni get the change i will try that command buy i have already tried using the terminal and i tried a very similar command which was just sudo apt install nvidia-driver-390 instead of  sudo apt install nvidia-driver-390-y

then try nvidia-384  (sudo apt install nvidia-384

 

(P.S the -y just means "yes" so it skips asking if you really want to install)
