So bit of a weird question and it might be that my car engine knowledge is false framing my RAM knowledge.
I have a 32Gb kit of 3200 corsair dominator RAM and for the last 7 years have had it running at 2133, my CPU didn't properly allow the 3200 so i just ran it at that.
Yesterday I ordered a r9 5950X and now was wondering if the ram still be able to run at 3200? the question mainly comes from a car i have that has always being driven gently and slow to pull up and it made the engine "weaker and lazy" in the low RPM.
Am i just overthinking this?

Quite so, although some boards may default to 2666 MHz and you will have to enable RAM overclocking in the BIOS. But yes, my 5900X is humming right along with a Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 kit as we speak.

Oh, and BTW, if your current board is an AM4 and you plan to reuse it, first research its cooling for VRM -- it may not be up to the 5950X's extra heat output. Also, many boards may need a BIOS update (sometimes doable via USB) to work with the Zen 3 5000-series. If you can't flash it with USB, a currently supported AM4 will have to be installed for the BIOS update. I got lucky, my Asus B550 Plus was 5000-series-ready with no update.

Due to the above, I've likely revised posts <30 min old, and do not think as you do.

Yes, if the RAM is supported. You never know with Corsair RAM. What's the version number?

I'd have to probally pull out the RAM atm then unless the product code: CMD32Gx4M4B3200C16  says something to someone.

But so long as you say i'm overthinking it, it should be fine
