Help! wifi channels?

what are wi fi channels i just saw linus as fast as possible video on wi fi and one of the ways were to change the channels to see if it will boots the internet speed (my internet speed is really slow ) how do i change it and what do i have to do will someone help please?

Devices that can use the 5GHz band will, and the ones that can't just use the 2.4GHz band. You can't change the channel, btw you must have a dual band router, thus the 5GHz band becomes available. Though if al of the devices you have you can make the router use only the 5GHz band, check the manual with your devices to see if they support it. I'm also pretty sure the 5GHz band has a smaller range, though I'm not entirely certain.

It won't change the internet speed if your getting the rated speed that you pay for from your ISP but prevents packet loss if your router is operating on crowded channel equaling better speed to the router but if you have good router and it's set to auto them your already on the optimal channel.

That's the frequency not channel.

2.4ghz and 5ghz aren't channels they're bands. Channels can be changed on almost every router from within wifi settings.
