By my understanding, the i5 10400t is a pretty measly chip. Would it bottleneck the RX 580 8gb? Is the i5 10400t even good? Even say it did have a bottleneck, could i get 200 fps in Valorant? Cheers for help!

It's not measly.  It's a hyperthreaded 6-core built on a very mature version of skylake and it turbos pretty well.  You could pair it with almost any GPU you want, especially at 1440p.  Depending on your GPU and monitor resolution yes you can get 200+ fps.  Valorant is lightweight as hell.  You kids have no fucking clue what it was like to play on single threaded dual core chips running at 1600mhz built on 92nm silicon.  Not even 3 years ago most people were in consensus that single threaded quad cores were more than enough for any game you wanted to play (and for most games it's still true).

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
