NAS build

Go to solution Solved by brob,

The build is fine. You could probably get away with a Pentium on an H510 motherboard.

Consider getting a two stick memory kit. There is a performance benefit running dual channel.

Budget (including currency): around 500 euro seems reasonable, a bit more is OK if it's worth it. But I don't want to spend much more than required for my use case.

Country: Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Unraid NAS/homeserver. No media transcoding. Some containers/VMs for things like NextCloud, Home Assistant, PiHole, and some playing around

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I expect it to sit idle most of the time, so power use when idle is important. I'm starting with 2 HDDs of 2TB, but want to be able to extend it with at least 2 more drives. I've added the SSD for the VMs and containers.

This will be my first build, so I'd appreciate any input and suggestions.
