So currently, i have 16gb ram in my system, well kinda 14 because my intergrated graphics takes up 2gb of ram away.

If i were to put 24gb in my system, will it work AND will it boost my performance a little bit.

Are you running low on RAM when using applications and games? If not, more RAM will not directly improve your performance.

 

Also, running 24GB would only benefit you if you can get all the RAM to work properly together, which is not a guarantee, and you'd have to buy a 2x4GB kit. Adding a single 8GB stick would probably make your system perform worse in situations where you exceed 16GB, as beyond that would be using a single channel.
