Im guessing its another one of those unreleased/really rare 775 cpus. I did find one site mentioning the e7700 and even an e7800 but other than that, no photos, no listing on any of those cpu sites, no hwbot

An interesting little oddity for a very nice price, only other odd cpu ive found locally is an x6800 es sample but thats overpriced to sht

E7700 does exist apparently but what about e7800? Has anyone ever come across either of these cpus? Cause ive also heard of other unreleased cpus like the c2d e8700 (xeon counterpart x5270)

Actually i managed to find someone selling hp prebuilts with an e7800, theres literally no mention of these cpus anywhere other than that 1 site, atleast on the e8700 wikipedia does recognize it but its oem so explains the rarity, but no other info on the e7800

Well e7800 would be useless anyways considering wolf 3m is gonna be trash bin compared to 6m so guess thats why theyd keep these as oem or unreleased

Would be interesting to set a weak hwbot record with it but i think ill set my sights on an x5260 cause thats also 5$ but more cache and better bin

I think ill contemplate abit but maybe e7800 could be a good bin considering that for 3.33ghz they need to be atleast half decent and not just trash bin where they cant run at 1.25v vid, maybe i can convince my mom to get it for content creation purposes but i think id attract more ppl running 5ghz on a near 14 year old platform with an x5260

I think ill stick to 775 just for content creation shenanigans and once i want a real pc that isnt just a 13 year old dualcore running at 5ghz ill move from 775

Atm ill focus on watercooling then x5260 and hopefully either e77/7800, did a test w/o rad and it did work but very horribly, only matched my tower for a moment then the water warmed up and it just goes brrrrr with the temp

Strange, the Intel Ark site mentions it in this one datasheet

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/search.html?ws=text#q=E7800&sort=relevancy

But the site does not have a page itself with the specs for the E7700 or E7800, which is strange since it has pages for the other core 2 CPUs of that era

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Interesting, maybe theres more datasheets for more unreleased cpus, maybe ill be able to find some and do some weak overclocks, though once i really get serious and go subzero i think ill be able to set real hwbot records and not just sad ~5ghz at ambient records
