Display problem

My hdmi port is not working and is short curcuit ... soo i used a usb to hdmi convertor and it works fine but after a few minutes like 2 min it stops working. And no display...

Like u start the computer and it will give output on the display after 5min . After booting process and direvtly into main screen... and then it will give no output after 2 min .... please help me.. is there any way to just get the display output running.... i also have installed the driver for that particular usb to hdmi adapter... what should i use.... i also used a vga cable but that gives me very bad displlay... just tell me why does my display dies after showing for 2 min

Hi,

Well there can be many reasons. First you need to figure out where the problem is. Could be the pc, the screen or the cables. I'm not sure how reliable these usb to hdmi adapters would be. I never used those.

First, check if the power LED is still on when the screen turns black. If not, it means the power supply of your screen likely has a problem. You can also try and plug another screen, asking a friend if they can lend you one to test for example. If it works, then it means your screen has an issue, but not your pc.

Also check if your pc is still running after the screen goes black (are the fans still spinning? The power LEDs are on? Is there sound?). If not then your culprit is the pc itself...

On top of what the others are suggesting, could you post a picture / link to the aforementioned USB to HDMI converter?
