To catch you guys up to speed, the build:

1. Strix X570 E Mobo

2. 5900x with kraken aio

3. Rtx 2080 super

4. 32 gigs vengeance pro

5. Seasonic platinum 800 W

Issue: Pc randomly shut off during a warzone game, tried resetting but no post.

Plugged out the ram, same issue.

Took out the cooler, same issue.

Put everything back in took out the gpu, and behold it posts.

Tried another pcie slot same issue

Tried different pcie cables same issue

Figured out if I remove the gpu and just plug in one pcie connector it works, put the second one in and no post again.

Tried putting it in the pcie slot without the cables and no post.

Can I test out anything else before declaring the gpu as dead?

other than trying it in another system you have hit all the tests. Most computer shops will be able to toss it in a system if you don't have someone else with the right PSU and connectors to test it.

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it

Check if the kraken aio is touching the capacitors or other parts of the in the motherboard. Like if the cooler has a metal plates check if they are touching something in the motherboard. I if it is touching the capacitors or the Vram switch the cooler to air cooler to see if this worked.

See if you have updated the drivers too. If you have overclocked the system reset it to factory settings.

To see if it is a gpu problem try doing the Heaven Benchmark, if shuts down while doing the benchmark, It might be a problem with the gpu.

If u have a old gpu lying around plug it in and see if the pc shutdown at the same time it shut down with the 2080 super. If it does not shut down at the same time,It might be a problem with power delivery to the gpu.

Thanks for the input.

Fyi, it was a one time event, since I can't boot up at all with the GPU, I've already re-mounted the AIO as well so that's probably not the issue.

If I boot up with no GPU installed, the system posts and everything seems to be running ,(though there is no screen since I don't have integrated graphics)

New GPU coming tomorrow so I'll update on how it goes.
