Posted February 15, 2022 Budget (including currency): £1200 - 1500 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly for gaming (moderately demanding), cad programs, coding and general heavy usage (multiple applications open simultaneously). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): CPU - intel i5-12600K GPU - Nvidia RTX 3060ti* RAM - Crucial Ballistix RAM DDR4 2X16GB 3200MHz Motherboard - GIGABYTE Z690 UD DDR4 Storage - 250GB Samsung EVO 970 SSD + Seagate Barracuda 2TB Power Supply - Corsair RM750 80+ Gold (750W) Cooling - Noctua NH-U12S Case - Corsair 4000d Airflow This is a provisional list of pc components I have for my new build, but before I want to commit to spending this much money on a new PC I want to garner some advice on whether these are the most suitable components listed or if there are better alternatives for a similar price point that represent better value. Also, I was wondering if you could recommend me a monitor (preferably at least 120Hz and no more than £200). *I am more than willing to wait until GPUs sink back down to msrp. Posted February 15, 2022 If you're waiting for cards to return to MSRP, there's no point in planning a build now. You're in for a very long wait. I'd get a larger SSD, ditch the HDD. I have thought about this yes, but I assumed supply and demand would return to some sense or normalcy sometime in 2023, but if it does take longer, then I guess there'd be no point seriously considering now. Hopefully SSD prices decrease by then.

Hopefully SSD prices decrease by then. Even if that's the case, it's far, far too early to start planning any kind of build now.
