Ok so have a new system, Ryzen 3700x with an rtx 3070. I noticed that gaming was not up to the level expected with this combination, the CPU and GPU utilisation in games was low, around 50 to 60 percent. GPU sometimes jumped to 85 percent on warzone and then cake down again. I noted drops in FPS I'm other games as well with utilisation drop. I ran some benchmarks, 3d mark gave a score of 12500 for the GPU which seems to be fine. The CPU scores were not that great running cinebench 23, the multicore is at 11500 and the single core at 1039. The temp of the CPU stays at 55 degrees so this is not an overheating issue. Not sure what else I can do?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have an Asus b550 motherboard and 16 GB of ram at 3200 MHz. Power supply is 750 watts.

I have similar issues with my rig. 1700 with a GTX1650S. I found that there is a sufficient bottleneck in the GPU that causes a similar drop in frame rate with 4K even with low detail, or in high detail at even 720p, especially when running OBS. It flat won't do 4K at high detail, OBS or not. You might try the calculators at this site... They taught me a lot I didn't know. Apparently doesn't take much of a bottleneck with a GPU to create serious FPS issues.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***
