Budget: N/A

Country: United States

I am looking to build a desk here soon and I've thought about building an enclosure for my two PCs.

For this I thought about using a small air conditioner to blast the enclosure with colder air and so sort of exhaust configuration out the other side.

I am thinking about this as I game in my master closet due to overnight hours (work schedule) and I can talk/laugh/etc at a normal volume without waking anyone else in my house up.

The closet area gets EXTREMELY hot and it's currently cold outside I can only imagine what it'll be like when it gets to spring/summer.

Would this be possible or will it damage the computers?

As long as condensation doesnt happen and you are fine with the extra power bills then it shouldnt damage anything, possibility wise ive heard of ppl using ac to cool a pc but pretty pointless unless its in your usecase where you have a pc closet to cool down or another example would be a server rack

What kind of small air conditioner are you thinking of? Cause there are some air conditioners that use water to cool air down (i think they were called evaporative airconditioners) and those are usually the really small units, that may cause damage to the pc if water starts forming, though if you are thinking more of a regular ac that uses phase change then that would be fine as long as it isnt too cold and goes sub ambient

A pic of the area that you wanna cool will also help

I cannot get a picture as I have not built anything just yet.  I want to know all of what I am getting myself into before I start. Something like THIS perhaps but with a better exit port.

I am going for a lower ambient temp and attempting to make it so they would pump out less crazy hot air.  As in if i make an enclosure for them and pump in AC air then in theory the exhaust side would be pumping "warm" air...
