HDD not booting

I bought a new laptop, MSI GF63 Thin 10UC. I had added 2 TB SATA HDD afterwards. First everything was running smoothly, but later the drive stopped showing up in "This pc" and even in the diskpart, but it's detected in the BIOS menu.

Maybe you haven't formatted it yet

 

Go onto the search bar and type partition, it should come up with something saying format and partition.

Select that and choose the hard drive. Then format it (There is a tutorial online)

 

(Btw this will erase ALL data from it)

does it show up in Windows Disk Management ?

Windows-key + R then type diskmgmt.msc and press enter and see if it's in there.

Wait sorry I didn't read that you tried to partition it.

 

Try and check the cables and reboot

If only the bios can detect it than check the disk state on the bios because maybe the manufacturer has turned that port off

Look online and find a tutorial on how to enable the disk on disk state
