Hello everyone, I am not going to waste much of your time and get straight to the point. Here are my PC specs: Intel I3 7th Generation, 1 TB HDD, 8 GB Ramx1, and Galax GTX 1650. The problem is whenever I play a game, FPS usually goes from 60 FPS to 2-3 all of a sudden in games like God of war 4, WWE 2K19 (Tested these two only). One day, when this was happening, I opened task manager and saw that the HDD is running at 100% with every other application shut in the background and at the top only system is taking most of the MBPS from HDD which may be causing HDD run at 100%. So my question is how can I remove stuttering issues from Games? Is there any problem with my specs? Should I buy SSD and add one more 8GB ram stick? Would it solve this issue or not?

Please help me with this, I tried making this question as short as possible. In case any other information required from my end, please do let me know. @Tristerin Can you please help?

of course that hard drive is struggling as hell under load from both OS and the game

you should get an SSD for windows and other drivers and use the hard drive only for game

and yes dual channel ram and more then 8 GB of ram is a most have these days

Sounds more like a hardware issue. Either bad RAM or a bad HDD. Probably a bad HDD though. You can use windows resource manager (found in task manager) to monitor ram errors as well as high drive loads. If you have no or just a few ram errors, the HDD might be bad. I would try a surface scan with a SeaTools from Seagate. It will show drive errors. Switching to 2x 8 GB of RAM as well as a boot SSD is surely a good thing but won't fix the issue if games are still on that drive (if that is the culprit).
