My ssd drive supports 4 pcie lanes but its running on only 2

So i have just bought a WD Blue SN570 which supports 4 pcie gen3 lanes but according to the WD software it's running on only 2 lanes. I have an HP laptop with model no da1041 tu with Core i5 8th gen and 8gb ram. If anyone has any idea how to run it on 4 lanes or does my laptop even supports 4 pcie lanes for the nvme ssd?

if it's running on 2, that's because the laptop only has 2 lanes going to it.

 

You won't see any difference in performance, outside of pretend benchmark numbers.  Real world, you can't tell.
