I currently have a 5600 XT for daily gaming and I'm planning to upgrade to a 6800 XT or 6900 XT. Can I install the 6800 XT in the first slot for nightly for gaming and then in the morning add the 5600 XT to mine on both cards while I'm at work?

If so I could recoup the 6800 XT expenses over 12 months.

Yes, you can have multiple cards in at the same time.

Don't constantly remove and install the 5600 XT, though, that can cause problems with hardware (PCIe wasn't designed to have things unplugged and plugged back in a bunch) and software - your drivers may throw a fit.

Just leave both cards in; you should be able to leave the 5600 XT mining at all times without too much of a performance hit.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.
