I've built a PC which is pretty beast, but I want to build another, easily portable (ideal for LAN) small form factor PC. I have a budget of $1300, but I live in the UK, so when converted it'll be about £780. I want to mainly use it for gaming however, also letting it mine when i'm not using it. I've decided that a Bitfenix Prodigy M is pretty much the only requirements for this build, however the rest of the parts are quite difficult to select. I've made a couple of part lists but I cannot keep them under $1300.

Here's one of part lists:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($219.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master RR-T4-18PK-R1 70.0 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler  ($19.99 @ Newegg)
GPU: Sapphire R9 290 TRI-X ($603)
Motherboard: MSI Z87M GAMING Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($133.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory  ($64.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP900 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($69.99 @ TigerDirect)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($56.98 @ OutletPC)
Case: BitFenix Prodigy M Arctic White MicroATX Mini Tower Case  ($97.76 @ OutletPC)
Power Supply: Corsair 860W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($229.99 @ Amazon)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)  ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $1586
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Unless you have over about 10 r9 290x's don't even consider mining.  Folding, yes, but not mining. Also maybe if prices are still high for AMD cards in US get a 780

Edit - @SAV1OUR build looks the best, but cut down that GPU, h100i and take the K off the CPU and it will probably be closer to your budget.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

Look carefully, Savior build is ~1300 GBP, not USD. If he want that then it's quite easy to change the mobo/case in my build to whatever he want. Should still be within 1300USD

Ok cool thanks for the tips, but I was wondering, Which would be better from a pprice to performance standpoint, the and AMD FXxxx or an i5 XXXX?

Seems like a really awesome build, but I was wondering if the PSU would be enough and could give a little bit of overhead room for overclocking GPU etc?

That 550w PSU really would be enough but for an extra $20 you could do this and get a 750w which is overkill. Plenty of room for overclocking both GPU and CPU.

Heres what I'll go with matey (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3tpkk). I know no SSD, (i'm going to get killed for saying this but) I wouldn't get a SSD just yet till a 1 TB SSD come out (which Isn't far from now). That's an opinion though so if you want an SSD, let me know and I'll edit the build for you.

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

Hmm I thought of that as well. Since its not going to be my main daily rig, a SSD wont be very essential, I'll take your suggestion on board though  ^_^

That build is almost 1300 Pounds, which is a long way off of the $1300 USD budget. The op said $1300 USD or 780 British Pounds. Nice build though.
