Thoughts on Corsair C70??

Massa9

I recently saw the Corsair C70 case on sale on newegg.ca but the most appealing part to me was the 14.99 shipping fee, As I have seen some Cases have 44.99 and 49.99 shipping fee. I think one was a Full tower Fractal R4 case..don't know the exact name. 聽like to know if there is a better case with the same functionality and lower price. I am looking for a place that does not have shipping fees so I can have more options. If there is a legion of disgruntled C70 owners I would like to know. I am aslo looking for a Value Mid-ATX case. I broke something on my Current case and now the front cover keeps falling off.

Have it, love it. 聽Nice attention to detail and easy to build in. 聽My only regret is I got the black instead of the camo.

Have it in the military green. Easy to build in and nice features. Only thing is if you get the green one an optical drive will destroy the aesthetic, but that's just me being picky

I love mine, I got it in Military Green and I am so glad that I did. I love the look of it, reminds me of an ammo box. Also building in it is really nice and the way the side panels are mounted with the top latches is awesome.聽

Indeed love this case but would'nt put more than H100i/110 in it as it would just look clutterd, mybe not ass much if you took out the drive cages, i use hdd's for music and recording (might be setting up home server properly son so i can just stream music from server ;)

Awesome, well built case. But as stated above, swap out the window. Stock is pretty ugly, lol.

Here is my build in my C70. I had zero problems with it and building was a breeze as well as cable management. I also made a custom full side panel window because as others have said the fan holes ruin the look. Replacing the window can be done for about 10 dollars though from Home Depot.

It is a great solid case as it is made mostly out of steel and it was very easy to build with on my first build. Cable management was very easy for a non-modular psu (TX650V2) and it has adequate fan mounts to keep your PC cool.

It looks nice, my only problem is that there is fan cutouts in the window, which ruins the look.聽

You could get a replacement clear window from MNPCTech if you don't like them:http://mnpctech.com/mnpctech-clear-case-pc-panels/corsair-c70-window-replacement-clear-fan-holes-120mm/

After seeing many Builds with the C70 i have no doubts about the Cooling options. I did see a good deal for the Corsair Carbide 400R at a store near by. So almost the same price as Newegg but no shipping fees(29.99 on newegg..ouch) as I could just go get it. So I am torn between a few options right now.聽

Loved that case.聽 My build two PCs ago used the red C70.聽 Very "simple" and "basic" case with a retro layout, but sometimes that's all you need!

It's a great case still, to this day, but challenge to find聽one now.

Thanks for the side panel window replacement in mine 馃檪.

Still using this case for my wife's build. It works well for a modern build with the drive cages removed, and one of the 5.25" bays adapted for 2.5" drives. I also 3D printed a "LiftKit" I modeled to lift the case up ~.75" for more breathing room for the bottom mounted fans. With 2x 140mm fans on bottom and 2x120mm fans in the front all as intake, this thing has a lot of airflow. I also cut out a bracket to fit the 280mm rad in the top, and cut out some of the strips between the聽PCIe slots in order to do a vertical GPU mount in it.
