Hey, just looking for some feedback. Haven't done a build in 6 years so not really up to date on components.

Budget (including currency): Sensible 5 year build, budget not important if its justifiable ($AUD)

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Pretty much 100% gaming, mainly Arma 3, DCS, MSFS2020 but usually give all the new AAA titles a go. Maybe VR in the future but not for a while

Other details:

Upgrading From (System is 6 years old, GFX is 4, I see this as a full replacement):

If you're gonna spend that kind of money on a 12th gen, put in some DDR5.
Also, platinum PSU is overkill for gaming. You'll be fine with a Seasonic GX-1000 Gold. Use the leftover dough to pay for your ddr5 or get some nice cable extensions.

Spoiler

Based on your recommendations, does the extra $402 justify the performance/move to DDR5? Should I be looking at something else other than 12th gen that makes more sense?
