what specs would you need to run minecraft at 200 fps, 16 chunks, graphics fancy, smooth lighting max, smooth lighting level 100%, light shaders, at 1440p 144hz, while recording/streaming, with music in the background, and in a discord voice call?

What version are we talking about here? Obviously modern versions like 1.18.1 are far harder to run than old versions like 1.8.9

either way, if you're planning on building a new PC, this should be easily capable of running that on either version

I also highly recommend using Sodium and Iris Shaders, you might be able to get away with a lower tier GPU since these mods in my experience make quite a difference.

Although in this market, this is relatively reasonable.

for latest version there is simply no replacement, though you should note that there are about 30 fabric mods you should have installed, here's all the ones I recommend using

I'm guessing you're talking about Java? Bedrock will run 16 chunks on an overclocked toaster... last time I played, I was running 72 chunks - it wasn't 200fps, but it was still very playable and useful to find End Cities for my son.... and he runs ~30 chunks on his GTX1050Ti and gets smoother gameplay than his XBox.

Cool - I'll step away leave you to the Java specialists 🙂

I've seen Java and I get that there are a few redstone things that behave a bit better and there are some trade-offs with features (sweeping edge vs trident killer machines, etc), but provided you stay away from those awful Microsoft "Realms" and host your own dedicated server, then Bedrock seemed to be the logical choice - not that I really had any choice as my kids were playing on Xbox + Android tablets/TV boxes, so we needed something cross-platform that I could setup on my main PC and then just leave running on an 3rd gen i7 HTPC that seemed to cope pretty well with 4-8 players, 12 chunk tick distance, 72 chunk view distance.

On the plus side, I'm guessing it brings some of the AMD cards into contention as you don't have to worry about ray tracing and the availability + prices on those are slightly less crazy than the nVidia ones.... but these things are all relative as they're all pretty crazy right now 😄

Good luck with your build!
