I know overclocking is done through the bios. Let me say that first.

 

However, all over clocking records online are submitted from Windows PC's with CPU-Z as the validator

 

Is it possible to submit over clocking benchmarks using Linux, more specifically SteamOS?

CPU-z equivalent on linux is I-Nex

 

Prime 95 is also available on linux.
