Build plan cpu choice help

Budget : £300

Country: uk

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games / work

 

 I'm looking to build an new system I currently have a i7-9700k and have found that parts are becoming sparse 

 

My question is I whant to upgrade but not sure to go Ryzen or Intel as my budget is no more than £ 300 for the cpu and the main use is split 60/40 more using it for adobe software and fusion 360,and other softwhere similar the other 40% is gaming like Asseto corsa vr and chivalry 2 I would appreciate any help and recommendations

The 5700xt will work fine with that CPU. 

Oh really I I where to put an extra money and had £330 to get. A ryzen 7 5800x or would it be better and invest in a i7-12700k?
