Ram frequency change causes power boot loop

Go to solution Solved by Bad5ector,

Try running it at 3200mhz and see if that works.

Hi all any help would be grand.

Just finished building my sons PC. When attempting to change the frequency of the ram from out of the box speeds to advertised speeds it causes the computer to boot loop until it launches in safe mode.

Once in safe mode I can enter the bios and return the settings back to default and it boots up with no problems.

asus prime B550M-A

ryzen 5600G

corsair vengeance rgb pro SL 3600MHZ 8gb x2

I have checked that I’m running the latest bios and forced an update on the ram sticks.

I removed both sticks of ram and tried using only 1 stick.

Method for changing frequency:

enter bios > advanced mode > ai tweeker >  ai overclock tuner set to docp > save and exit.

This is my first build, I’ve attempted googling for solutions but not found anything other than clear cmos which I haven’t done as I’m able to get into the bios in safe mode.
