ram: 16 gigs of corsair vengeance 3000mhz

storage: 256 gb wd sn550 n me and 2 tb seagate hdd

cooler: noctua nhu12s chromax

peripherals

monitor: (aopen 24 inch 144hz with freesynch (1080p)

so guys Coming to my question

I wrecked my cpu yesterday while trying to change thermal paste on cooler. The ihs got stuck to cooler and when trying to remove the cpu fell to ground and it broke some pins😔

now like I am a bit confused should I go ahead and save up some money and buy 3800x like in 2 months( will the nhu12s be able to handle the 3800x) if not I can go with 3700 and put a gpu when prices come down. Also I would really appreciate you guys recommending me a case as I feel my nzxt has bad thermals

my options are

lianli lancool mesh

and

phanteks p300a mesh

i think I might need to put some fans in those also..

Regarding games and work

I rarely game on this rig due to its gpu. Although if I get a gpu my mind js on rtx 3060-70 range or next gen nvidia

i am more into games like gta and call of duty

or here is a outside thought I have

ryzen 7 will cost 25000(330$) and wait for gpu

should I wait some more time and get Xbox series s for (460$) and start gaming now with game pass and upgrade pc later

regarding the pc

i have some thermal paste which fell into my socket can I clean it if no is it damaging

The stock cooler can handle the 3800x. I don't think there's a Ryzen CPU on the market that the NH-U12S can't cool

It happens. I did it with my 2700X, though luckily only one side got smashed in and I was able to bend them all back without breaking any. It was a very stressful hour.

Last I checked, they're in two different price categories. If you don't need the build space, the P300A is a fantastic case, I've built in it a couple of times and it's very easy. I'd recommend the P400a Digital above it if you can afford it, it's a bit bigger and easier to build in because of it (bigger cases are just inherently easier to build in), though the P300a is still very nice for the price. I haven't been hands on with the Lian Li Lancool Mesh, but it looks very nice as well as you would expect for the price bump. I'm still gonna recommend Phanteks because I know first hand how good they are to build in and use though.

As for everything to do about the CPU, wait a week or two, AMD is rumored to be announcing their 3D vCache CPUs next month, and if you can wait it out with a laptop or something, do it. They're likely to bring a huge performance increase, and you might be able to snag a used 3700X from someone upgrading to one of those new Ryzen chips. If you can't wait, go for the 3700X. Don't bother with the 3800X, it's barely an improvement over the 3700X and not really worth it for anything more than $15-20 more. That said, also look at the 5600X, it performs on par with the 3700X in multicore while crushing it in single core. They usually go for the same price, and IMO is much more worth it.

If you really wanna game, that's probably your best option. I'm a PC gamer through and through and you'll pry my 3080 from my cold dead hands, but if I didn't get lucky and get a card for MSRP, that's the route I would've gone.

Douse it in isopropyl alcohol and call it a day. The odds of it damaging something are very low, but it can cause the system from booting if some pins aren't making contact. Isopropyl will wash it away and dry pretty quickly.

You can also use something to pick it out in addition to the isopropyl like a toothbrush. I wouldn't recommend that with an LGA socket, but for PGA like AM4, it's fine.
